Steven Kirshenblatt is the founder of Kirshenblatt Urban Architecture. Mr. Kirshenblatt graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1976 and became a member of the OAA in 1978. Steve was one of two founding partners of Kirkor Architects & Planners where he worked building the firm and hundreds of projects across the GTA for 40+ years.

Mr. Kirshenblatt’s expertise lies in developing design strategies to deliver well-executed, responsible, cost-efficient architecture. In order to provide clients with the latest tools for environmental sustainability, he closely monitors developments in building science and advances in materials, allowing him to apply the newest smart-build technologies wherever possible.

Mr. Kirshenblatt excels at managing consultant teams in related disciplines, ensuring they establish clear directives and design intent as they affect the outcome of a project. He applies his high expectations to concepts and documents developed by the project team to ensure drawings clearly and concisely communicate the intended outcomes, from site plan approval to final occupancy.
